That saying us girlies in the office all think the gorgeous hunky chase can enter our office at #majesticmodels anytime day or night and no one will turn him away, just one thing i think a few cat fights to win him over... but hang on surely Chase gets to decide, ohhh no the single lady gets to decide, that would be better - only one single lady in our office, so that wont be hard........ Who is it I wonder..... Lets just say she's HOT Mr Crawford!!!

How filthy is your beard ?

How Filthy Is Your Beard?

A cost-benefit analysis of manliness and microbiology

Journalism is, at its core, a public service. This is why several days ago the reporters at Action 7 News in Albuquerque, New Mexico, decided to investigate just what, exactly, teems within the beards of the polity. They swabbed the whiskers of a handful of local men and took the results to Quest Diagnostics. The results were the kind that medical labs don't leave on your answering machine: Several of the beards that were tested contained a lot of normal bacteria, but some were comparable to toilets “Those are the types of things you'd find in (fecal matter),” Golobic said, referring to the tests.Even though some of the bacteria won’t lead to illness, Golobic said it’s still a little concerning. But are these results typical? Are they limited to these few unfortunate Albuquerqueans? Or is kissing a bearded man the bacterial equivalent of directly applying a sample lipstick that's chained to the makeup display at Target? Some doctors have suggested that beard hair can be a bristly breeding ground for germs. “Beard hair; it’s coarser. It has the shape of a bayonet, a round, convexed bottom and then comes up the side to a point,” Carol Walker, a consultant trichologist at Birmingham Trichology Centre, told the U.K.'s Daily Mail. “The cuticles on the hair—which are like layers of tiles on a roof—trap the germs and grease." In 1967, scientists sprayed bearded and clean-shaven men with bacteria, then tried to collect the bacteria from their faces (by swabbing, stroking, and imprinting ... oh my). They found that beards harbored more "more bacteria in general, the clean shaven men always had less bacteria recovered from their faces than the bearded men, suggesting that 'that bacteria hold more tenaciously to the beard than to the face,'" as Scientopia noted Then, in 2000, another study found that when 10 bearded and 10 clean-shavenmen wore surgical masks, the bearded ones shed significantly more bacteria onto agar plates below their lips—especially if they "wiggled" the masks. The study authors recommended that bearded surgeons try not to wiggle their face masks. "Bearded males may also consider removing their beards," they added joylessly. Still, the Quest worker from the Albuquerque news spot only said that beards harbor the types of bacteria you'd typically find in the gut—and thus, in poop. But other parts of the skin can also sometimes be contaminated with these bugs. Reportedly, there's about a one in six chance that your iPhone is home to poop particles. All of this led The Guardian's  to conclude, "There is more crap in these stories about poo in beards than there is in beards. "There probably is some truth to the idea that a beard, like any other body part, can get pretty funky if you let it. The Albuquerque story might discourage some would-be beard-bearers, which is a shame, because beards are so hot right now. Matthew McConaughey has one, for cryin' in the mud. Beards are the perfect way to say, "I don't care about society!" while simultaneously saying "I care enough that every few days I will ransack the bathroom in search of the right electric-razor attachment, and then spend many minutes trimming my beard and determining its borders." Beard is the new black. To men who decide, in the face of this Albuquerque news, to embrace their chin curtains, I offer my applause. I also offer the recommendation of a nice beard wash, which will sanitize that stubble in no time.

Read all about it - The beautiful Joan Didion and why she does not wear makeup

Why I Don’t Wear Makeup

The one, the only Joan Didion.
On a beauty kick? Watch our beauty guru parody, Adventures in Beauty Vlogging. Or, join the conversation on pre-bed beauty rituals.
It all started when the founder of a website, who I had just recently met, cc’ed me on an e-mail correspondence with his assistant. He was trying to introduce us and in doing so, made the mistake of not deleting theirprevious conversation thread. I scrolled down and noticed that he’d confirmed to her that I was “verrrrrrrry funny. Smart, too.” This made me feel wonderful. But as I kept reading, there it was.
“She is ugly as fuck tho. Truly a man repeller.”
My initial reaction was to laugh — chiefly because it seemed incredibly unusual if not highly offensive that he would describe a fellow woman to his female assistant as “ugly as fuck.”
But then I got emotional. Ugly as fuck? Really? And that was the chaser for a descriptive clause that pegged me not just smart but funny, which had to mean looking at my face for the course of our 30 minute conversation was as painful as say, getting a colonoscopy without the preliminary anesthesia.
A few months prior to this I noticed that the details of my makeup regimen (or lack thereof) had become something of a hot topic on the Man Repeller Instagram feed. I chalked up the cause of conversation to either people taking notice of the fact that I don’t wear very much makeup or to my taking notice of their having taken notice.
The comments sometimes appear as compound questions like, “you could be cute but why don’t you wear makeup?” Other times they’re just plain insulting. As recently as last week, I’ve been called an ugly whore (not so far off from “as fuck”) which seems really inconsistent with the Man Repeller ethos seeing as we don’t typically sell bodies — we sell ideas.
That and clothes.
But have I started to notice the criticism because of that website founder? And what has that awareness elicited intrinsically?
It occurred to me last month when I was laying in bed beside my mother in a hotel room in Milan, trolling my own comment feed and half lamenting, half giggling about the abundance of distraught comments over the state of my face that maybe I should wear makeup. Something so simple that my mother said, so benign and innocent, so obvious, released a trigger in me.
“Makeup is meant to enhance the natural beauty of a woman, Leandra, so, really, why wouldn’t you use it?”
I contemplated her question for a moment but frankly, the answer is simple.
I’m not making a statement. I’m not trying to act like the most extreme, hyper-literal and violent version of a man repeller. If you read this site you know by now that Man Repelling is an attitude. It is a state of existence. It is not whether you do your hair or curl your lashes, or even what you wear. It is how you approach doing those things. Why you do those things, and perhaps most importantly, it is a love letter to individuality, which is something that manifests itself in plentifully different ways.
So the reason I don’t wear makeup is because I am lazy. And don’t get me wrong  — I am as much a sucker for the newest “anti-aging miracle cream” as the next guy. Just because I don’t wear much makeup doesn’t mean I don’t believe in good skin. I want to know that if I don’t wash my face, I won’t tarnish my pillow. I don’t want to see the ingredients that constructed my previous night’s visage wiped off into a towel. I also read somewhere that if you sleep with mascara on your lashes they are 70% more likely to fall out so as far as I’m concerned, maintaining real lashes that aren’t quite as plump as they can be is ten times more compelling than having none at all.
More important than that though, I am comfortable with how I look. I don’t hate what I see when I look in the mirror. Even if legions of others don’t agree. I have accepted the reflection that reliably bounces back at me for its perks and its flaws. I understand that there are thick, dark circles under my eyes. I have grown to appreciate them. I have noticed that my nose grows a little hookier on a near-monthly basis. That’s fine. I know there are wrinkles ready to stake their claim as full time residents on my forehead any moment now. My dad has those, too, and I find that endearing.
My eyes will never be blue, my bone structure will never allow for you to mistake me for a Scandinavian model. I am who I am and even if that infers “ugly as fuck,” I think it’s, I don’t know, beautiful.

CATE BLANCHETT is not a fan of social media!

Cate Blanchett is not a fan of social media, finding that the concept of "likes and dislikes" found on most platforms causes "rivalry and jealousy" among supposed friends.
"I think it's because people constantly are taking pictures of themselves to send them to people to see if they like me, 'Do they like me?' It's pathetic, the whole thing about people worrying about what other people are going to think," she told Yahoo Beauty. "I just can't handle it. Of course you want people to go see the films that you make; of course you want them to enjoy them. But I'm not out there saying, 'Do they like the way I look? Do they like that look on the red carpet?' You have to say, 'This is what I'm doing right now.'

Asked about what she will teach her newly adopted daughter about beauty and self-perception, Blanchett again comes back to the concept of what we send out into the world.
"I hope the conversations I have with her are no different than the conversations I have with my sons," she said. "It comes back to self-respect. It's this huge thing. 'Like me! Like me!' The like and the dislike is just totally primary schoolyard. I cannot for the life of me work out why adults are participating in that shit. There is so much great stuff on social media, I don't want to be on a soap box about it. I think it's a genuine way to build community and, we tell ourselves we live in democracies, but really the media runs a lot of the way opinions are formed. There's a subversive quality to the internet, and I do think there's a genuine ability to connect, but the downside with social media is it divides people really quickly and sets up rivalry and jealousy and a sense of the life over there is better than the life over here."

How to be a Child Model

How to be a Child Model

Once you have decided to enter this wonderful industry the next step is to decide whether to go it alone or find an agency. The decision depends both on the ambitions of your child and the type of work they will be trying to get.
Is an agent really necessary?
Modelling jobs for children are almost exclusively to be found through agents. Advertising agencies and casting directors are too busy to advertise and hold open castings for every single job. They will either look first at the agency web site or they will go straight to an agent with a description of the type of children they need.
From that description, the agencies will look through their models and draw up a list of children who fit the requirements. The casting director or photographer will then liaise with the agency to arrange times and locations for castings. It would be virtually impossible to find modelling work without having an agent.

Stage schools, local drama groups and youth theatres might provide useful contacts in the business. It is possible that an unknown child will spot an advertisement in The Stage, and will go along to an open audition and land a major role, but agents are invariably the first to find out about such auditions and will ensure that their clients get to meet the producer or director.
Agents will also be the first stop for production companies who are hiring people for extra work in films and television. An agent will be told the number of children that the production company are looking for. If the agent is trusted and has a good relationship with the production company the children will be sent along to work on the day without an audition being required. This is called a direct booking.
What are the advantages of having an agent?
  • Many agents have a central talent directory (website)
  • Agents have the necessary contact
  • An agent provides you with security
  • An agent is the mark of your professional attitude
